Taylor is a passionate advocate for intuitive parenting and a dedicated mother of two (with a little one on the way). Her journey began in the NICU, where she navigated the complexities of infant sleep while grappling with misinformation and fear based strategies. This experience ignited her passion for providing evidence-based, compassionate support to parents.
As a certified Sleep and Well-Being Specialist and Lactation Education Counselor, Taylor combines her academic background in Psychology and Nutrition with real-world experience to empower parents. Her unique perspective, shaped by her personal experiences with a highly sensitive child and a sibling with profound support and accessibility needs, allows her to understand the intricate needs of families navigating the challenges of raising neurodivergent, medically complex, or highly sensitive children.
Taylor's approach is rooted in connection, intuition, and evidence-based practices. She specializes in understanding and supporting biologically normal infant and toddler sleep patterns, identifying potential underlying medical or environmental factors that may be impacting sleep, and supporting parents based on each family’s unique needs. By taking a holistic approach, she focuses on supporting the whole child, including their emotional, physical, and developmental needs. She believes in gentle, responsive parenting techniques that foster a strong bond between parent and child, and does not utilize any separation-based sleep training methods.
Working with Taylor is like a FaceTime with your BFF, only your BFF is an expert, and she totally CAN relate.

Hi! I’m Seugnet, a Certified Sleep & Wellbeing Specialist, licensed therapist and most importantly I am a Mama to a highly sensitive little boy, my reason for entering the world of sleep! I am shaped by my personal and professional experiences. My education is rooted in child development, attachment sciences and family relationships. I have a master’s degree in Systemic Psychotherapy (Family Therapy), Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Post Graduate diploma in Play Therapy. I have loved working with families from all walks of life over the past 20 yearsliving in South Africa and London, UK and the US. I have extensive experience in supporting families from various cultural backgrounds with parenting, family relationships, adult and children’s mental health and sleep.
I have always loved to study and do research in my work with families, and it was no different when my son was born. I realized despite all my years of studying that I knew very little about sleep and sleep science. As a new mother, exhausted and anxious, I found myself completely overwhelmed by all the different and conflicting messages I was receiving from outside influences about what ‘normal’ sleep should look like.
I was fortunate to navigate my way through all the overwhelming information by listening to my heart, drawing from my knowledge around child attachment, child development and by responding to my son’s needs day and night! I felt at peace following my own intuition and seeing positive changes with regards to sleep without compromising my attachment relationship with him. I was able to frame sleep from a developmentally normal perspective, learned more about temperament, neurodiversity, maternal mental health, attachment, sensory needs and all the various puzzle pieces that affect sleep.
It has since this time become a passion of mine to support families to get more sleep without feeling that separation-based techniques or ‘waiting it out’ are the only options available to them. I have a holistic and supportive approach. I believe that a parent’s instinct is their best guide, and I hope to offer families a map and guide them to reach their sleep goals for their little ones.

My passion lies in addressing the sleep challenges that parents of highly sensitive and neurodivergent babies often encounter.
As a mother myself, I understand the overwhelming sense of isolation and frustration that comes with trying to navigate the complex world of parenting, especially when faced with conflicting advice and outdated methods. It’s disheartening to see parents struggle, feeling torn between their instincts and societal pressures, while searching for sleep solutions that honor their baby’s unique needs and their own values. I’m here to bridge that gap by providing a space where you can find understanding, guidance, and solutions that are grounded in science and tailored to your baby’s temperament. Together, we’ll address sleep struggles and overall wellness using methods that respect your intuition as a parent. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence you need to create a harmonious environment where both you and your baby thrive. By offering genuine support and a holistic approach, I’m dedicated to transforming your parenting journey into one of connection, empowerment, and restful nights.

overcoming uncertainty together 🍂
Tired of hearing that you’re the reason that your little one is so sensitive? That if you’d just sleep train, things would be different? That you’re not consistent enough? That you’re spoiling your baby?
None of these things are true. Not only will you be equipped with the science behind what’s really going on, you will be validated and supported. Together, we will tackle what isn’t working for your family, and through connection and a thorough understanding of biologically normal infant and toddler sleep - we will establish a sleep routine that works for you.
The Spirited Baby Approach
My mission is to help parents reach their sleep goals through responsive parenting practices while building connected relationships. Together we will focus on the needs of your family, what works best for your baby, and how to best get everyone the rest that they need.
My services do not include sleep training.
You can expect a plan to move forward that:
Fosters a strong connection between parents and their baby
Facilitates the organic course of your child’s development
Provides parents with insights into typical infant and toddler sleep patterns
Respects the ongoing development of a baby’s brain and their innate survival instincts
Inspires parental confidence to trust and adhere to their instincts
Equips parents with the ability to enhance their baby’s sleep experience through realistic and gentle adjustments
During our time together we will discuss your goals, any concerns that you may have, and any challenges that you may be facing. Every family is different, every baby is different, every momma is different, and every support system is different. Finding out what works for you and your baby is key. Whether you’re struggling with naps, split nights, baby “fighting” sleep, overstimulation, night wakings, sleep regressions, or you just want to know if what you’re going through is normal - we will work through it together.
You will find peace of mind as we discuss red flags, the potential need for additional consults, and other factors that could be impacting your baby’s sleep.
We will discuss your baby’s temperament and review their sensory needs, along with how to meet those needs.
Let’s work together to get you and your sweet little one some rest!
